I came to Jeremy in May of 2009. Earlier that year, I had been told by my physician that I needed to make radical changes to my lifestyle or face dire consequences. Weighing nearly 275 pounds, I suffered from high blood pressure and high cholesterol, well on my way to being diabetic. I had begun working with a nutritionist, but needed to start an exercise program to completely change my life.
My sister referred me to CrossFit Littleton, and it was there that I met Jeremy. Jeremy had just started as a personal trainer; in fact, I was his first paying client. Jeremy spent hours with me, planning a workout program, starting me out slow to accommodate my poor fitness. My first workout was on May 21st, and consisted of 2 rounds of 5 negative pull-ups, 10 knee pushups, 10 sit-ups and 5 squats for time. From these humble beginnings came a long and successful association.
Under Jeremy’s watchful and very patient eye, I began to see the transformation in my body and my attitude about life. By June, I was able to see marked increases in capacity and strength; the pounds were already beginning to come off.
My first deadlift was 73 pounds in May of 2009. By August of that year, I had a personal record of 225 pounds. Jeremy’s strong background in powerlifting made me a convert, and I took to it like a fish to water. It was his skill, patience and professionalism that changed me. The same month that I lifted that huge weight, I also completed my first climb of a “Fourteener.” By December of 2009, I had lost an astonishing one hundred pounds and 8 clothing sizes, and no longer required medication for blood pressure or cholesterol. I can’t stress this enough: without Jeremy Myers, I would not have succeeded nearly as much, or as quickly. In March of 2010, I successfully completed my Level I CrossFit certification. I had completely remade myself under Jeremy’s guidance.
When I left Colorado in early 2010, one of the things I missed the most was training with Jeremy. Jeremy was a guest at my wedding in September. True to form, and a great example of his dedication was his gift: 6 weeks of distance training and support for both myself and my husband.

“I have been training with Jeremy for over a year and have had life-changing results. At age 59 I’m perhaps his oldest client. My goals for my training results included weight loss, increased muscle mass and tone, better management of diabetes, addison’s disease, risk factors for heart disease (my family has an unfortunate history) and better sleep. I sleep better and enjoy outdoor activities like skiing and hiking more than I have in years. I also feel better about myself since for the first time in my life, I have actually DONE something about my diet and exercise.
And I have gotten these results in an enjoyable, non-threatening and even humorous way. Jeremy has changed my life for the better.”
